This past weekend, Dr. Magen Henry, founder of ChiroJunky ATL, returned to Logan University’s campus to complete and pass PedTRA II—a major milestone in her journey through the Master of Science in Chiropractic Pediatrics (MS-CP) program.

PedTRA (Pediatric Training, Research & Assessment) is the hands-on capstone of Logan’s MS-CP curriculum and a cornerstone of advanced pediatric chiropractic education. While the program is primarily online, PedTRA weekends bring students together from across the country for intensive in-person training. PedTRA II focuses on extremity adjusting and pediatric rehab techniques, preparing students to meet the unique physical and developmental needs of growing children.

“Being back on campus reminded me why I started this journey,” said Dr. Magen. “There’s something powerful about being in a room full of doctors dedicated to changing the way we care for children—especially when you know you’re representing a community that’s often underrepresented in both healthcare and higher education.”

Dr. Magen is on track to be one of the only Black women in the world with this master’s degree when she completes the program in 2025. Through ChiroJunky, she continues to expand access to culturally conscious, holistic chiropractic care—especially for Black mothers, children, and families across Atlanta.

From prenatal support to pediatric rehab, Dr. Magen’s work blends clinical excellence with heart, purpose, and deep cultural awareness. Completing PedTRA II is yet another step in her mission to raise the bar—and make sure every family has access to care that honors the fullness of their wellness journey.
